Guidelines for guest posts

We’re always happy to accept guest posts!  We do have some guidelines to ensure that you’re content can be presented properly.

How to submit?

  1. Check the types of content below.  If you’re content doesn’t seem to fit, that’s ok – submit it anyway and it will be reviewed.
  2. Check our Standards guide below.
  3. Prepare your details – Bio, Article, Preferred images.
  4. Submit details to [email protected]

Type of content

We always welcome various types of content that readers will enjoy.  LendingCentral is a news source primarily focused on finance, money and property in Australia.

  • How to guides – including problems and tutorials are always popular
  • Lists – Easy to digest lists can be useful and easy for people to read and action (eg: 5 reasons you might want to refinance.
  • News (see below for Press Release guidelines)
  • Informative or Guides
  • Checklists

Standards Guide

Author BIOs: All guest posts need to have a guest bio attached.  This should be short (50 words) and include a 300×300 picture to be used.  Only one link can be used for promotion (eg:View this popular author Bio)

Headings and Structure: Ensure that your post makes sense.  All headings and subheadings should clearly be formatted.  Please make it easy for us to post your content!

Length: Minimum length for non-regular contributors is 750 words.  Ideally, content over 1000 words will be given priority.

Originality: Content that has been published elsewhere may not be accepted.  Publishing on your own website is of course allowed.

General writing standards: If you haven’t proof read your article and it’s not of a high quality, then don’t expect us to publish it.

Types of non-accepted articles:  Some of the following will not be allowed – 

  • Adult or mature content.
  • Job Posts
  • Gambling
  • Financial advice content – Please be careful when submitted content of a financial nature – this will be carefully reviewed to ensure that no advice can be perceived under Australian law.

Guidelines for press releases

We’re also happy to accept Press Releases from reputable companies.

How to submit?

Press release content

Press releases can form an important part of keeping people informed.  While we will accept a press release, it is up to our absolute discretion on whether it will be published.

Transparency: Press Releases will be clearly marked as a Press Release so that people are well informed.  Advertorials must also be clearly marked as such.

Standards Guide

Company BIOs: All guest posts need to have a guest bio attached.  This should be short (50 words) and include a 300×300 picture to be used.  Only one link can be used for promotion (eg:View this popular author Bio).  Images can include a logo for the company bio.  Please note that company logos may be resized to conform with the LC image standard and may not take into account the company’s logo requirements.

Length: No minimum length for Press Releases.  However, the more information the better chance you have of us publishing it.

Types of non-accepted releases:  Some of the following will not be allowed –

  • Gambling
  • Financial advice content – Please be careful when submitted content of a financial nature – this will be carefully reviewed to ensure that no advice can be perceived under Australian law.

By submitting your Press Release you authorise that Lending Central has been given permission to reproduce your content.

Terms and conditions

  1. Authors fully understand that no compensation will be provided for the submitted content now or in the future.
  2. Author agrees that all external links are made as nofollow.
  3. Lending Central will not on sell content provided by an Author.
  4. The Author agrees that Lending Central may refuse to make changes to content once published.
  5. Lending Central may refuse to publish any submitted content for any reason and the Author may not be provided with reasons.
  6. Lending Central may remove the submitted content at any time without notice.
  7. The Author will ensure that they have complied with all copyright issues pertaining to content and images before submitting to Lending Central.
